The main goal for this project was to work on the user interface design of two strategically important features within the Kaufland App: the integration of mobile payment and the mobile self-scan.

I collaborated closely with internal product teams and was under the guidance of a Senior UX Product Designer. The aim was to personalize the user experience across all touchpoints and make it more attractive. The app was to play a central role and customer engagement was to be significantly increased.

I was also involved in optimizing the Kaufland App page in the App Store. The images displayed had to encourage the user to actually install the app. The average user makes this decision within a few seconds, so the message of the images had to be quickly and clearly understood. Since the Kaufland app is available in many European markets, the texts and images had to be linguistically adapted accordingly and prepared for the respective display formats.
